College students often face one obvious predicament, having class during mealtimes, or being away from home all day.  This can lead to regular unhealthy eating, which is never a good thing!  Here are a few tips to help you avoid this problem and stay healthy…

How to pick a healthy meal/snack at the campus café or dining hall

  • Avoid fried foods, refined grains (like white bread), and sweetened drinks.  Instead look for grilled or baked foods, whole grains, and water or unsweetened beverages.  Also, look for some fresh fruits and vegetables.  It’s quick and easy to grab an apple or banana if you’re in a hurry.
  • Check out “Eat This, Not That” online, or grab the book the help you out.
